Hakushika Memorial Museum of Sake (or Hakushika Sake Museum) was established in 1982 with the purpose of handing down the history of traditional sake brewing to future generations. Our museum consists of two buildings: Sakagura-kan and Kinen-kan. Sakagura-kan is a former wooden sake brewery (sakagura) built in 1869. At Kinen-kan, three exhibition rooms showcase various works of art, historical documents and materials related to sake and cherry blossoms.
